J Crew Extra 20% Off

J Crew is offering an additional 20% of their sale items until April 15th. Here are a few of the cooler things they are offering via the sale (and its a total coincidence that they are all yellow).

BCBG MaxAzaria Tiered Chiffon

If you are a Bluefly fan, you are probably aware of B*Fly, the new "contemporary" sister company of Bluefly. I was checking it out during my lunch today and this ivory chiffon dress caught my eye immediately. Its beautiful, soft, and flitty looking and I adore it. If you can check out the closeup on the site, the scalloped edge along the top is really lovely.

Floral Skirts

If you are looking for a new floral skirt to get you going this spring, here are a a few of my faves.

Free People Clothing Boutique Hibiscus Skirt - $88

Nautica Floral Boardwalk Skirt - $79

Nordstrom Campaigne "Nora" Skirt - $88

Kimchi & Blue Scarf Print Pull On Skirt at Urban Outfitters - $58

Tibi African Violet Full Skirt - $288

Cargo Miniskirt at Victoria's Secret - $39.50

Flowers & Ruffles Miniskirt at Bebe - $79

Darling Dress

I normally don't like too cutesy, and this comes really close, but I love the yellow, white, and brown combination. I fear I might look like a cream puff in this dress, but for only $27.80 its totally worth grabbing and working it out.

Shirred Dress at MaxStudio

Looking for a comfortable and flattering dress to wear in lieu of shorts? I would definitely give this Shirred Dress at MaxStudio a look. The shirred front design could be uber flattering and the pockets are a huge plus. I really dig the olive color, but it also comes in black and is still available in each size (xs-xl) for $168.

Lauren Conrad Kiki Tank

I don't know if you are a Hills fan, but I inevitably end up watching more episodes than I set out to. That said, I have always thought that LC always looks cute and/or pretty, but rather Whitney (if you don't watch the show you might want to skip this part) is the one who takes some risks and they end up working out really well on her (granted she looks like she's six foot tall on the show and extremely slender, so not much wouldn't work for her). So, I wasn't sure what to expect with the Lauren Conrad collection, mostly its a lot of baby doll-style dresses. However this Kiki Tank is really cute and not terribly expensive at $84. I particularly like the detailing along the top.

Seersucker Sheath

What a steal! This lovely seersucker sheath at Spiegel is only $39. I can't believe it. Its a very summery fem look, perfect for the office. Add some nude heels (depending on which version of the dress you prefer) and you can roll. I promised myself last night that I was going to shelf my shopping for a month. My plan was to use it as an incentive to drop a few lbs, but this dress is causing me to rethink that idea. ugh!

Josie Dress

Looking for a cute and casual dress to wear as the weather warms up that won't cause you to pull out the plastic? This Josie Dress at J. Crew might do. With its scalloped hem and sleeves and above the knee length, its quite perfect for date night or shopping with the girls. The best part is its been marked down from $130 to $49.99. Surprisingly, they have a lot of sizes still left in all three colors (white, black, and blue).

Woven Rope Belt

Need a non-brown or black belt? Look no further than the Woven Rope Belt at Urban Outfitters. I really like the ivory one, but the rust one is a good option if you want to add color to a neutral outfit and don't want an orangey color next to you skin. I think you would be hard pressed to find a cuter belt at such a great price, $20.

DVF Tiki Ban Takalau Dress

I think I have changed my mind. This is the dress that I want to spend my tax refund on at Chick Downtown. This Tiki Ban Takalau Dress by Diana von Furstenberg has her signature wrap styling and is available in sizes 0-10 for $374. I think this will look really great later this summer on tanned (self-tanner of course) skin with gold jewlery.

Bell Jeans

As much as I like bootcut and skinny jeans, I am digging these bell jeans with a flared leg style and button flat back pockets. They aren't expensive as far as jeans go ($59.50) and the Gap offers additional styles for petites and talls, so you should be able to find the "right" length. Although, if you prefer a higher waist, these are probably not for you.

Degrade Flounce Dress

Are you looking for a way to spend your tax refund? This Degrade Flounce Sleeve Dress at Adam Lippes is worth considering. Dip-dyed ombre with a cinched waist...two spring trends with one dress.

Free People Sailor Skirt

I absolutely love the sailor-inspired pants that are hot this spring. Unfortunately, I am blessed with a rather shortwaisted figure, so you can imagine why the two don't mesh. But, this pencil skirt ($98) by Free People could definitely work and it still has the charm of the pants with the button design on the front.

I Finally Find My Skirt

I have been looking for a great, yet budget-friendly, black and white skirt for some time. I didn't really have a specific expectation as to the whether it was a graphically-inspired print, a floral, or even plaid. I just knew that I wanted it to have some fullness to it. Well this is the skirt that I finally bought to satisfy this inexplicable need. I found it at Kohl's for only $43.50 (on sale) and its part of the Simply Vera Vera Wang collection.

Brightening Up My Wednesday

I love the color yellow. It inevitably makes me smile. And this vibrant yellow Catherine Malandrino silk chiffon top is no expection. I adore the cut out top and bottom and think that it will look sensational with jeans (dark or white) and I could possibly see it working with a black skirt too. Although I think I am telling myself that I can get a lot of mileage out of it so I can justify spending $345 on it.

Ralph Lauren Illusion

You aren't going to believe me, but this isn't three separate pieces. I was cruising the Nordstrom site and saw this and figured the ruffled top was just paired with the patent leather belt and pencil skirt so that folks wouldn't just buy once piece. Right? I was totally wrong. It's a dress. And its only $168. I can't tell if I really like it because it surprised me or because its so chic. Maybe both?

Gina Michele After Hours Dress

Its not quite what I would call little black dress, but I really love this fun take on an old staple. My favorite element is the single shoulder strap. I also dig the cream colored hem and the striped trim along the top. And if that doesn't get you going, it looks chic and comfy. Check it out $114 at CoutureCandy.

Ali Ro Dress

Need to turn some heads when you walk into a room? This silk Ali Ro Dress ($253) is just up your alley. I am really fond of color and cinched waistline, but the delicate macrame neck is especially , which continues around the back of the dress, is what makes this dress really special.

Tibi Red Rose Skirt

I have been desperately searching for a black and white full skirt that fits my budget for about a month now. While scanning Bluefly, I stumbled upon this lovely red and white a-line skirt for $160, which isn't horrible, but it wasn't black and white and was a wee bit more than I wanted to spend.

Skirting The Blues

This silk full skirted halter dress at Asos could easily be added to my options for what to wear to the weddings coming up. Although it comes in green, which appears to be more teal like online, I fell in love with the blue option. The band beneath the ruched bust coupled with a full skirt is a genius silhouette in that it will make any gal wearing it look like she has a tiny waist. The price is likeable too, at $94.

Blouses for Spring

I am loving the focus this spring on womanly suits and feminine dresses. I can't get enough of the floaty blouses. Check out some of my favorites that I have stumbled upon.

I love this Tucker Print Smocked blouse at Shopbop for $264 with skinny jeans, but I think it would look equally as stylish with a vest and wide legged trousers.

Shopbob is chock full of great blouses. Diane von Furstenberg puts a slight twist on your basic white cotton top with puffed sleeves and V neckline for $198.

In addition to puffy sleeves, ruffles have also made a comeback this season. I really like the decorative cream trim on this black chiffon blouse at Forever 21. Add this inexpensive piece to a pair of tailored white pants and you have a chic work outfit.

Kohl's offers a less expensive version of a pretty cotton blouse with puffed sleeves, but this option has a ribbon tied around the waist. That way the volume doesn't add extra poundage in the mid-section (always a plus). This top is on sale for $30.80

This romantic flutter sleeved blouse is so soft looking! Clearly (no pun intended) you would need to wear a camisole with this rosey pink top unless you wanted to really turn some heads. But this top is adorable with its pleating that stretches across the top. Check it out at Maxstudio for $69.

I have been meaning to check out the Twenty8Twelve line, but really haven't had a chance. This 50's print silk blouse at Revolve looks so comfortable and I like the layered collar, but its a little pricier at $286.

And last but not least, this tomato-colored georgette blouse is spectacular. I get ridiculously excited about color. Macy's offers this mandarin collared blouse with cap sleeves in "frost" too, but why would you get white when you can get tomato. Check it out for yourself and then grab it for $59.

Roman Mini Dress

This L.A.M.B. dress is stunning! It is totally chic and embraces just enough trendiness for my liking.

Free People Embroidered Tunic

This Free People tunic gives off an easy going and delicate vibe. If boho-chic is your thing, this tunic should find its way into your closet.

Bold Floral Print Slipdress

This slipdress at Spiegel is kinda similar to the last dress pictured in the Wedding Wear Woes posting from Friday, but it dials up the sexy factor a bit. The print is perfect for spring and I imagine that the neckline and ruching would be flattering. If its too much for you, you can always add a cardigan so as not to reveal too much.
