Brushstroke Dress

There are tons of frocks out there right now that have a lot of volume, which I love but they don't always translate so well on my figure. So looking for dresses that have some struture to them or that I can belt are a better fit for me. This dress at Forever 21 is adorable and cheap ($22.80). And as other posts will attest, I am a huge fan of the white and black palettes.

Silk Woven Trim Tunic

Banana Republic is sporting a lot of bright colors right now and this tunic might be one of my favorites. They offer it in purple and blue, but I don't think either is a wrong choice. Its not one of the pieces included in their summer savings sale, but don't forget to use the Banana Republic discount that I posted earlier this week.

Dot Print Zeina Pencil Skirt

Have you been watching Gossip Girl now that its back? Sadly I read that it came in last in its timeslot, so if you forgot about it this week be sure to watch next week. I would be devastated if it were cancelled (knock on wood). Anyhow, here's a delightful Lorick skirt, who's clothes are featured on the show, that I wish I could swing right now.

Carmen Clutch

Every gal needs a go to black clutch for evenings out and this option at Amici Accessories is an affordable and chic option. I really like the woven look and large buckle. Add the Carmen clutch to your collection for $48.

Dogeared Canvas Bag in Kiss

If you are looking to do your part to be environmentally-responsible and make a statement without saying a word, check out this canvas bag at Pink Mascara. What a fun way to carry your purchases without being wasteful.

Bill Adler Fruit and Veggies Belt

Outside of loving the creative name of this "fruit and veggies" belt, I love the design. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be a fan. Historically, I am not a fan of one item, be it a shoe, bag, or belt, doing the work of two or more things. I feel like if you need a black belt, get one and then if you need a brown one, splurge and get that too. But combining black and gray (and white and brown, which isn't pictured), works really well.

Ombre Scarves

So this scarf lets you play with the ombre trend without investing in a dress or skirt. Unfortunately, they only have the purple one still available, but the $45 price is good.

J Crew Spring Sale

J. Crew's spring sale is in full swing and they are offering an extra 20% off on all sale items. Here are a few of my faves.Solid Kelly Jacket - $89.99

Old Navy Knit Skirt

This skirt is freaking $10. TEN DOLLARS! Isn't that unbelievable? Now, its not like you are getting this tremendously complicated design for the price of lunch, but its very cute and I imagine extremely versatile for the summer. I am smitten with the green version.

Esprit Flower Dress

Need a dress for work and play? This black and white dress at Esprit might suit you. I happen to be a big fan of wrap dresses and I really dig the short puffed sleeves. For $89.50 you could get a lot of wear out of this over the coming months. I keep picturing it with colored accessories, but whatever.

Bold Flower Shawl

I have done a pretty cruddy job of posting accessories lately, so let me make it up to you with this great scarf at Esprit for only $25.50. It comes in blue (pictured) and tangerine and will serve you well through the spring and summer with jeans and tee or with a dress.

Frilled Cami

This is a relatively basic camisole, but the ruffles make it worthy of posting. For $17 its definitely worth a look. I know its a little low cut, but you can always wear it under a jacket or sweater.

Rachel Pally Print Sleeveless Dress

I know I post way too many dresses on this blog, but I find so many that are really cute and look super comfy, like this Rachel Pally dress. Its not what I would deem budget-friendly at $220, but the jersey print is really fun and the ruching and v-neck make it a flattering style.

Ralph Lauren Crushed Silk Skirt

Check out this black and white floral skirt at Ralph Lauren. I love the way the skirt drapes and I am sure it has a ton of movement too. Very pretty. You can go totally rock this with some color or stick to the black and white palette and it would be equally as lovely. Its on sale, although it still isn't cheap at $99.

Nicole by Nicole Miller Bubble Skirt

I tend to forget that JCPenney carries a Nicole Miller line that is "affordable" which is a relative term. So I wanted to see if they had anything that I could get excited about it. I can't say that I was floored by anything, but this bubble skirt is cute. Its on sale for $35 and they carry sizes 6-16.

Linen Wide Legged Striped Pants

I swear these pants look so comfy that you might be able to wear them to bed in lieu of pajamas. The Marisa fit linen pants at Victoria's Secret are an easy and breezy option for errands or the beach and they are only $49.50.

Bohemian Crinkle Chiffon Dress

This Betsey Johnson dress is amazing! I love the sheerness of this dress and the colorful floral print is perfect for spring. Don't you love how you can see the sweetheart bodice through the chiffon?

Leopard Bubble Dress

I feel like Forever 21 is hit or miss. This bubble dress is a definite hit in my book. I love, LOVE the subtle satin leopard print and the red is HOT. Its pretty short and probably won't be the type of piece that can handle a ton of wear, but for $24.80 I think its a total steal.

$100 Dresses at Bluefly

I tend to online shop (or browse) during my lunch hour. Not always great for my bank account, but its a nice little breather for me. During my crusade today, I noticed that Bluefly is doing this "great dresses for under $100" promotion, which of course reeled me in. Here are a few of my faves.

Chinese Laundry Willy Sandals

Need an affordable, but sexy sandal for painting the town red this summer? These Willy sandals at Piperlime, which come in gold, silver, and black, are only $60. Although with a four inch heel, they aren't for the clumsy. I could use a new pair of gold heels and these might prove too hard to resist.

Don't Sweat the Technic

Ha! I love this Eric B & Rakim-inspired tee. Made me laugh when I saw it and I am quite sure I would laugh almost everytime I put it on. Totally worth $28.

Wide-Legged Denim Pants

Are you looking for an affordable and flattering pair of wide-legged pants for your spring wardrobe? Look no further than these denim button-tab pants at the Gap. The are not only on sale for $49.50, but they come in regular, petite, and tall lengths.

Short Sleeved Black Cardigan

I have been feverishly searching for an all-around black cardigan for the spring and I stumbled upon this piece at Macy's and it just happens to be on sale. Goody for me! All sizes are still available and its only $24.50. I particularly like the fluid and open bottom half of this sweater. Its a perfect topper for me.

Juicy Couture Smocked Dress

How do you feel about asymmetrical styles? If you like your shoulders, typically a flattering body part to showcase, it might be worth considering. This Juicy Couture jersey dress is adorably chic with its ruffles and smocked waist. I really like the cherry-pie color (wow I just had a 90s hairband flashback!). I'd recommend being truly in love with this look, since the dress is $228, not exactly lunch money.

Nicole Miller Strapless Bubble Dress

How lovely is this Nicole Miller dress? The color is great and the style is flattering. Its on sale right now for $174.

Lipsy Silk Colour Block Dress

If you haven't gotten terribly excited about the whole color blocking trend, perhaps this dress at Asos will win you over. Outside of loving the silhouette of this dress, I am a big fan of yellow and gray together. I really like the dark gray repeated along the bottom too. I know its a wee bit low cut, but you can always add a jacket or sweater for extra coverage.

Martin Lily-Pad Short

I am back! Yes, I bailed again for the weekend, but with good reason. And upon my return I learn that Banana Republic is having a summer savings sale and offering free shipping when you spend $125 (code is summerfree)to boot! I am pretty picky about shorts, but these lily-pad shorts caught my eye. They come in green and blue and are currently on sale for $34.30
