I am seriously considering getting this dress as an early birthday present for myself. Although I was hoping to hit the outlets near my home to do a little bday shopping. I love strapless sundresses. They have a carefree vibe about them that I love. But I, unfortunately, have to be very selective when it comes to strapless looks. Unless they are sweetheart necklines they are a disaster on me. And in spite of this tidbit I have ignored my instincts and tried them only to be terribly disappointed. So, this fantastic smocked colorblock dress is for you ladies who can do the strapless look. I will admire you from the sidelines on this one.

Michael Kors Debutante Wedges

I am a big Michael Kors fan (speaking of which have you heard all of the Project Runway drama? I hope when the show makes the jump to Lifetime its still great) and these wedges are delightful. There have been tons of uber creative heels and wedges this season, but the cut outs on this pair are just dramatic enough for my taste. The green is perfect to add a punch of color to black and blue ensembles and you can totally rock these with your florals too. LOVE THEM!

Rich & Skinny Sleek Straight Leg Jeans

Here's another summer standard, white jeans (although I will argue that you can wear them outside the summer, but I have some friends' whose opinions I greatly respect who will disagree). They look fantastic on this model, but hopefully they also work for gals who aren't leggy and slender, although the inseam is only 33.5, which is a little shy of what I typically look for in my jeans. Calvin Klein Smocked Camisole

One of my go-to outfits during the summer (when I am not at work) is jeans, sandals, and a camisole. Its not mind-blowing, but it normally works for me and doesn't result in me throwing myself on my bed screaming "I hate my clothes!" (Am I the only one this happens to? When I can't find something to wear I either blame my closet or my weight, which is so NOT productive.) Anyhow, this Calvin Klein camisole is delightful. I prefer the peridot option (shown), but they offer it in an evening haze color as well (blueish).

Tropical Patio Dress

I really like the look of these long dresses, but I really need to hit a few stores and try a couple of different styles on because although they always look so fresh and chic on others, I worry that would be a disaster on me. This version at Banana Republic looks like a keeper though. Tons of design considerations that are typically flattering like the sweetheart neckline and empire waist. And the skirt is pretty basic (no layers or ruffles), so it shouldn't add even more mass to a gal's silhouette.

Tibi Floral Skirt

Queen Bee has this lovely floral Tibi skirt on sale for $129.50 (regularly $248.60). I love the green, blue, and coral colors and it would be one of the most used pieces in my closet this summer, since you can just add a tee and roll.
